Everest Region Treks

The Khumbu region of Nepal is one of the best known treks in the world. This is the land of the Sherpa people and the world's great 8,000 meter peaks. Many trekkers walk in from the road head at Jiri, through the lovely rolling hills of the Solu region. Others fly in to the village of Lukla to start their trek. A few days above Lukla is the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park and the town of Namche Bazaar, where most trekkers take a day to acclimatize to the high altitude. From here one may branch towards the village of Thame or continue on to take one of the two main Khumbu routes, to Gokyo Lake or towards the Everest base camp. Beyond Namche Bazaar is the Sherpa village of Khumjung and further on the famous monastery of Thyangboche. Here the Mani Rimdu festival of dances is celebrated every year.

The Everest or Sagarmatha region is one of the most popular and life time dream area for trekking in Nepal. Trek to Everest base camp is mystique derived from its soaring giant, ever panoramic peaks and the extreme adventures of legendary mountaineers. The Everest, situated in the Solu and Khumbu diversified district is justifiably renowned, not only because it encompasses Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain (8850m), but also because of its exotic Sherpa villages and monasteries, flora and fauna. The main goal of many Everest trekking is to trek to Everest Base Camp at an elevation of about 5430m. We cannot see the Everest from the final day trekking to Everest base camp but it’s worthwhile to be in the spot of triumph and tragedy, so we take you for your life time Everest experience also to Kala Pattar, a 5555m lap on the southern flank of Pumori (7145m) from where we can see dramatic marvelous views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lola, and other many panoramic views of the series of mountains.
